Seems like almost everywhere you look you see a couple holding hands, or stuck in each other’s arms. And even though the school highly “frowns” upon public displays of affection, couples still sneak in a couple kisses here or there. Sometimes seeing all of the “lovey dovey” stuff can make a person sick.
But, are relationships in high school really the real deal? Most teens have probably already declared their love to someone. And after a while, their relationship has come to an end. Don’t get me wrong. There are couples who have lasted through high school and made it into the marriage life. Not every couple makes it though.
To me, some teens seem like they will do anything to get that feeling of being loved. So they will look in the wrong direction, or lower their standards to date about almost anyone. Sometimes, teens date someone they hardly even know. That is just a tad bit desperate.
I’m not trying to tell you to stay away from dating all together. Dating someone can be fun. It also helps prepare us for dating in the real world. Nobody wants to get into the game without the practice first. Just don’t practice too much.
So my advice to you, my fellow classmates, is to not get so serious about love right now. This is only high school. After this, we all will go off to find bigger and better places. You might find your soul mate here. But the chances are that will probably never happen. Just go with the flow and have fun. High School is only a tiny step into the real world.

That is so right! High School is just a small step in the path of life. There are so many more stepping stones in your upcoming path of experience. Don't put blinders on, thinking that if you don't find love now, it will never happen. There is so much more to see and do. To Experience. The only limit is the one you make yourself.
