The Tiger Times is filled with news of recent events, things that are going to happen, opinions, and things to just fill up open spaces. Some students though, seem to not appreciate some of the articles that are being put into the newspapers. They sometimes feel as if the writer of the article is using the newspaper to pick on certain types of people, which is not the case at all.
Journalism is not just an elective class. Like every other class, the students have to earn their grade. The journalist takes time during class, and at home to write their article with the upmost care. They search for the right facts, use appropriate words, and when the time comes, they use their own opinion.
The journalism class would like to ask you, our fellow readers, that if you have a problem with one of the articles that has been printed. Please, consult with us first before you take stronger actions. We would love to know how you feel, and we are always open for more suggestions.
